Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson[1] (born 15 April 1990) is an English actress. She rose to prominence playing Hermione Granger, one of three starring roles in the Harry Potter film series. At the age of nine, having previously acted only in school plays, Watson outperformed thousands of other candidates for the role of Hermione.[2] From 2001 to 2007, she starred in five Harry Potter film installments alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. She will return for the final two installments: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, due to be released in 2008, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.[3] Watson's work in the Harry Potter series has earned her several awards and a salary of over £10 million.[4] In 2007 she announced her involvement in two non-Harry Potter productions: a made-for-television adaptation of the novel Ballet Shoes, and an animated film The Tale of Despereaux.
In recent years, Watson's extended family has grown as both her parents have children by new partners after their divorce. Her father has identical twin girls, Nina and Lucy,[43] and a four-year old son Toby. She also has two half-brothers from her mother's new marriage who "regularly stay with [her]".[42] Watson's full brother Alexander has appeared as an extra in two Harry Potter films,[43], and her sisters Nina and Lucy were cast as the young Pauline Fossil in the BBC's Ballet Shoes adaptation.[43]
After moving to Oxford with her mother and brother, Watson attended The Dragon School, a private preparatory school, until June 2003 and then moved to Headington School, a private all-girls school, also in Oxford.[7] In 2003, she described having "a good time as a teenager" despite all the stardom and did not have the feeling of having lost her youth.[23] However, she says that getting spotted by tourists and being a regular target for Internet impersonators gets on her nerves once in a while.[42] Watson admitted resenting some of her celebrity status in an October 2006 interview with The Times, citing it as one reason for her being single: "Guys are either intimidated by me, or they have defences up, or they like to take the piss out of me."[44]
Watson's work in the Harry Potter series has amassed her over £10 million;[4] Watson has acknowledged that she will never have to work again for money. However, she has declined quitting school and becoming a full-time actress, saying "People can’t understand why I don’t want to... but school life keeps me in touch with my friends. It keeps me in touch with reality. It makes me feel normal. Let’s be honest: I have enough money never to have to work again, but I would never want that. Learning keeps me motivated."[9] While on film sets, Watson and her peers were tutored for about four hours of lessons per day;[2] despite the focus on filming, Watson's academic achievements were good. In June 2006, she took GCSE examinations in 10 subjects, achieving eight A* and two A grades.[45] The following year she received four A grades in her AS levels in English, Geography, Art and History of Art.[46] The only one of the Harry Potter trio to intend to study at university, Watson has entertained thoughts of applying to read Philosophy at Cambridge or PPE at Oxford.[47][48]
On her official homepage, Watson states her interests as dancing, singing, field hockey, tennis and art. She calls herself a feminist.[42][9] She has a cat called "Bubbles", admires Johnny Depp and Julia Roberts, and lists France as her favourite holiday destination.[49] Watson says her greatest wish is "to have two friends, which stay – people with you can always be together and who don't scoot, because you are a film star.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Fuller Olsen (born June 13, 1986) are American actresses, best known for playing the role of Michelle Tanner on the sitcom Full House. Though they appear to be identical twins and only have minor variations in appearance completely within the norm for people of identical genotypes, the twins themselves claim to be fraternal.[1] Both have appeared in television and films since infancy. Since then, they have continued their celebrity through numerous television programs, films, interviews, as well as commercial endorsements.

They were born in Sherman Oaks, California to David Olsen (b. 1953) and Jarnette (Jarnie) Fuller (b. 1954) in 1986. Mary-Kate and Ashley Fuller Olsen started their acting careers on the television series Full House in 1987. They were hired at the age of six months, and filming began when they were nine months old. The show was widely popular during the late 1980s and early 1990s, and both sisters played the same character, Michelle Tanner, taking turns during the tapings to do so, in order to comply with strict child labor laws regarding child actors. For the first year, Ashley would cry when she was brought on set to do a scene, so Mary-Kate had more screen time in the first season.
Because the producers did not want viewers to know that Michelle was played by twins, the sisters were originally credited as "Mary Kate Ashley Olsen", but in the last season and most of season one, they were credited as separate people. Ashley Olsen was included on PETA's 2006 Worst Dressed list for wearing fur.
Mary-Kate and Ashley have a clothing line in Wal-Mart stores across America for girls ages 4-14 as well as a beauty line called "Mary-Kate and Ashley: Real fashion for real girls". In 2004 they made news by signing a pledge to allow all the workers that sew their line of clothing in Bangladesh full maternity leave. The National Labor Committee, which organized the pledge, later praised the twins for their commitment to worker rights. The director of the organization, Charles Kernaghan, is quoted as saying, "The Olsen twins have done the right thing. Now it is up to Wal-Mart to either support Mary-Kate and Ashley’s commitment to women’s rights, or tragically to shut them down."[9]
They were tapped as the faces of upscale fashion line Badgley Mischka in 2006, in an attempt to gain credibility in the fashion industry after their association with Wal-Mart.[10] They have also launched their own new couture fashion label "The Row" named after the famous Savile Row of London. They were criticized when they sought human capital for this project-- in spite of the girls' extraordinary wealth, they advertised for unpaid interns.[11] The pair have also started a new line for The Row, entitled "Elizabeth & James", named after their siblings.

Avril Lavigne was born in Belleville, Ontario[13][14] to a devout Christian family.[15][16] Lavigne's musical talent was first spotted at the age of two when her mother says Lavigne began singing along with her on church songs. The family moved to Napanee, Ontario, when Lavigne was five years old.
In 1998, Lavigne won a competition to sing with fellow Canadian singer Shania Twain on her first major concert tour. She appeared alongside Twain at her concert in Ottawa, appearing on stage to sing "What Made You Say That".
